Dissected and mounted on cloth.
These were produced and issued without covers and so the cloth backs are somewhat discoloured from age/handling – this one is very grubby on cloth reverse. Sheet number and town names hand-written on ‘cover’.
The map itself is grubby around the edges in particular and pencil notes and one location pointed and named in red ink (see photo). For a map of such an age there is remarkably little in the way of wear and it is a highly usable map.
